JAMMU, Mar 7: Pallanwala Police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest from the past two years.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Pallanwala led by PSI Vijay Kumar under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Hilal Azhar and SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was evading his arrest since 2020.
The accused was identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Kali Dass, a resident of TCP Pallanwala District Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 217/2020 under Sections 341 and 354 IPC with Police Station Akhnoor. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the Court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
