JAMMU, Sept 12: Akhnoor police today arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for the last 24 years.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Akhnoor Police Station led by SHO Mahesh Sharma arrested an absconder Ashok Kumar, son of Vishwanath of Gurha Brahmana, from Akhnoor.
The absconder was involved in robbery case, the FIR of which was registered with Gandhi Nagar Police Station in 1987, he added.
