JAMMU, May 6: Akhnoor Police arrested an absconder after 28 years.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was evading his arrest since 1994.
The accused was identified as Gurdeep Singh, son of Pritam Singh, a resident of Ward Number 2 Simbal Camp Miran Sahib District Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 227/1993 under Sections 279 and 337 RPC with Police Station Akhnoor. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
