JAMMU, Mar 9: Digiana Police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest from the past 29 years.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Digiana led by SI Tarsem Raj under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Pankaj Sharma and SDPO South Sachit Sharma conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since 1993.
The accused was identified as Sanjay Sharma alias Cheeku, son of Sham Sunder Sharma of Digiana District Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 227/1991 under Sections 341 and 323 RPC with Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain various activities absconder has been involved into during these years.
