JAMMU, Mar 27: Police in Kanachak area of Jammu claimed today they have arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for the past more than one year.
They said Barket Ali of Rajpura, Kanachak was declared an absconder under section 299 of the CrPCF on December 23, 2023 in case FIR number 02/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act.
Today, the absconder was arrested from Rajpura area on the basis of specific information by a team of Police Station Kanachak headed by SHO concerned Inspector Sham Lal under the supervision of SDPO Domana, said police.
He was later produced before the court for further course of action, they added.
