JAMMU, May 16: Police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last five years.
Police spokesman said that, on reliable information, police party from Manwal police post led by SI Manzoor Kohli under the supervision of SHO Parvez Sajjad and SDPO Khalik Choudhary conducted raid and arrested the absconder.
The absconder has been identified as Mohd Bashir, son of Faiz Ahmed, he said, adding that the absconder was wanted in a case registered at Manwal police post under FIR number 59/2008 under Section 379.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
