UDHAMPUR, Apr 1: Continuing its drive against underground criminals and absconders, the Udhampur Police apprehended one more absconder, who was evading arrest since 2013.
Reports said a police team of PS Rehambal headed by Insp. Nishad Ahmed SHO, under the supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Baljit Singh and DySP Hqrs. Prehlad Kumar raided the suspected locations and arrested an absconder namely Des Raj, son of Budhi Ram, resident of Janti Tatora, Bhalla in Doda.
He was evading arrest since 01.06.2013. The absconder was involved in case FIR No. 73/2006 U/S 353 of Police Station Rehambal and has been arrested by Police party of Police Station Rehambal from Bhaderwah.
An arrest warrant under section 512 Cr.PC from the court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Udhampur was pending against the accused.
