JAMMU, Apr 5: Police in Pacca Danga area here claimed today they have arrested an absconder after 11 years.
A police spokesperson said that one Imtiyaz Ahmed of Tajiwara, Tehsil and District Anantnag, who was wanted in case FIR number 52/2006 under Section 379 of the RPC, was absconding since 2013.
A warrant of arrest against the accused under Section 512 of the CrPC was also issued by the Court of Special Municipal Mobile JMIC, Jammu, he said.
The warrant got executed today with the arrest of the accused by a team of Parade Police Post led by Incharge Police Post PSI Amit Singh under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga, Rakesh Jamwal, SDPO City North, Shivam Siddharth, and overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar.
