JAMMU, Feb 27: Police in Bishnah area here today claimed to have arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for the past 13 years.
Ashwani Kumar of Chak Waziro, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu, was wanted in case FIR number 158/2011 Under Section 48 of the Excise Act registered at Police Station Bishnah, a police spokesperson said.
An arrest warrant Under Section 512 of the CrPC was also issued against the absconder by the concerned authorities, he said.
Executing the arrest warrant, he said, a team of Police Station Bishnah, led by SHO concerned, arrested the accused today. He will be sent to District Jail Kathua now, added the police officer.
