RAMBAN, Nov 7: Police here today arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest since 2007.
SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma constituted a special police team to apprehend the absconder.
The dedicated police team apprehended the absconder wanted a case of FIR number 109/2007, U/S 188/RPC 3 PC Act of Police Station Ramban.
After committing crime, the absconder Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Sumbal Bala, Kangan, Srinagar, was evading arrest with a motive to avoid legal proceedings.
A General Warrant of Arrest U/S 512 Cr.PC was issued by the Court vide no. 129/30 CPR dated 25.04.2008 for his arrest.
Police team from Police Station Ramban after hectic efforts, arrested the absconder and produced him before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramban under the guidance of Inspector Nayeem-Ul-Haq, under the supervision of Om Parkash, Dy.SP Hqrs Ramban, on directions of Gaurav Mahajan, ASP Ramban and under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
