JAMMU, Apr 22: Police claimed today they have arrested an individual who was evading his arrest for the past 31 years.
A police spokesperson said that Locha Singh of Bhour Camp Chatha, Jammu, was wanted in case FIR number 147/1991 Under Sections 307, 382, 435 RPC, 3/4 TADA, and 3/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station Satwari.
Acting on specific information, he said a team of Police Station Satwari (Police Post Chatha) consisting of ASI Kulbir Kour and PSI Paramjeet Singh led by SHO Inspector Susheel Sharma under the supervision of SP South Ajay Sharma and SDPO City South Kartik Shrotriya apprehended the accused and produced him before the competent court from where he was sent to the judicial custody till April 29, 2024.
