KISHTWAR, May 17: Police here today arrested an absconder who was evading arrest for the past 33 years.
The absconder Bashir Ahmed Naik, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Sarawaan Keshwan in Kishtwar was wanted in connection with a case of FIR number 248/1991 (TADA), Section 382 RPC and Sections 3/25 of the Arms Act.
After getting special information regarding the fugitive, SSP Kishtwar, Abdul Quoom constituted a special team led by Dy.SP DAR, Sajjad Khan which arrested the absconder.
He is now being produced before the Court for trial.
