Absconder held after 33 yrs

BANIHAL, Mar 11: Cops here today arrested an absconder evading arrest for the last 33 years.
A team from Police Station Banihal led by SHO Banihal, Inspector Ashiq Bukhari under the guidance of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh and under the supervision of ASP Ramban, Gourav Mahajan and under immediate supervision of SDPO Banihal, apprehended the absconder wanted in a case of FIR No. 108/1992 U/S ¾ TADA Act, 395/365/436/RPC, registered at Police Station Banihal from Railway Station Banihal district Ramban.
The absconder Abdul Rashid Shah, son of Ahmed Shah, resident of Krawa, Banihal was evading arrest for the last 33 years and a general warrant U/S 512 CrPC was issued against him by the Court of 3rd Addl Session Judge Jammu.
After completion of legal formalities, the accused was today produced before the Court of Law and subsequently he was sent to District Jail Amphalla, Jammu.
