POONCH, Feb 21: The police arrested a wanted criminal who was evading arrest for the last over five years from Surankote area of district Poonch today.
A police official said that a Police party from Surankote Police Station raided different locations and apprehended one absconder namely Mohd Iqbal, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Hari village in tehsil Surankote today.
He was involved in case FIR No. 284/2018 U/S 452/147/148/ 324/323/IPC of Police Station Surankote and evading his arrest since long time. A local court had issued warrant U/S 512 CrPC against him. After his arrest he was produced before the Court of Sub Judge Surankote.
