JAMMU, Dec 5: Police in Bishnah area today arrested an individual, who was evading his arrest for the past five years.
Vimal Kumar of Chak Waziro, tehsil Bishnah, district Jammu, was wanted in case FIR number 176/2020 under sections 379, 420, 467, 468 of the RPC registered at Police Station Bishnah, a police official said.
“But he was evading his arrest since 2020,” he said.
On specific inputs, he was arrested today by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned Inspector Sushil Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna and SP Headquarters IH Rather, said the police official.
Accordingly, the arrested absconder will be produced in the court of law and the arrest warrant issued against him under section 512 CrPC will be executed, he added.
