RAMBAN, June 29: Police in Ramsoo area of Ramban District claimed today they have arrested an absconder after six years.
A police official said a case FIR number 47/2018 Under Sections 452, 323, 504, 506 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Ramsoo against one Mohammad Shafi of Batroo Phagmullah, Tehsil Pogal Paristan, Ukhral, Ramnban.
After commission of the crime, he said, the accused absconded and accordingly, a general warrant Under Section 299 of the CrPC was issued against him by the court.
Executing the warrant, a team of Police Station Ramsoo today arrested the accused absconder and produced him before the court of JMIC Ukhral, he added.
