KISHTWAR, Sept 3: Police here today arrested an absconder who was on the run for the last six years.
In this regard SSP Kishtwar said that District Police Kishtwar developed information about the absconder Chander Karnail Singh alias Karan, son of Ishar Dass, resident of Phangota Bhalla, Doda district.
“A team was constituted which was led by SHO Police Station Kishtwar under the supervision of Dy SP (Hqrs) and it apprehended the absconder wanted in the case of FIR No. 244/2018/ U/Sec 379/RPC at Police Station Kishtwar,” the SSP maintained.
He warned all the absconders to surrender at the nearest Police Station else stern action under Section 82/83 Cr. PC shall be taken against them.
