JAMMU, May 17: Gangyal police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last seven years.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Gangyal police station led by SHO Surinder Khadyal conducted raid and arrested the absconder.
The absconder identified as Tarseem Singh, son of Des Raj of Shatraiya, RS Pura was wanted in a case registered under FIR number 144/2006 under Sections 279, 337, 338 RPC at Gangyal police station, he added.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
