JAMMU, May 21: Police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last seven years.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Akhnoor police station conducted raid at RS Pura and arrested the absconder.
The absconder, who has been identified as Ali Hussain, son of Kalu of Ghatkal, tehsil Akhnoor, was wanted in a case registered at Akhnoor police station under FIR number 65/2006 under Section 379 RPC, he added
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police party led by SHO Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Rayees Mohd Bhat.
