JAMMU, Dec 9: Police in Bishnah area claimed today they have arrested an individual who was evading his arrest for the past one year. Balbir Kumar of Ganda, Tehsil RS Pura, was wanted in case FIR number 56/2015 under sections 457/380/201 of the RPC registered at Police Station Bishnah, said a police official.
He said the accused absconded in the year 2023, making authorities issue an arrest warrant against him under section 512 of the CrPC. He was arrested today by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna and overall supervision of SP Headquarters IH Rather, said the police officail.
According to him, the accused will be produced before the court of law now to execute the arrest warrant issued against him.
