JAMMU, Jan 7: Police in Domana area here today claimed to have arrested an individual who was evading his arrest for the past two years.
A police official said one Vijay Kumar of Ghulama Chak, Pouni Chak, was wanted in case FIR number 204/2013 under sections 451, 380 of the RPC registered at Police Station Domana.
The accused stopped attending court proceedings in 2023 i.e. 10 years after being booked, he said.
As such Court of Sub Judge JMIC Jammu issued a Gasti warrant against him in the year 2023.
The warrant got executed today with the arrest of the accused by a team of Police Station Domana led by SDPO Domana and SP Jammu Rural Brijesh Kumar Sharma, added the police official.
