Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, July 6: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested an absconder and also recovered a kidnapped girl from Patiala. A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Gandhi Nagar Police Station conducted raid and arrested the absconder, who has been identified as Amandeep Singh, son of Jagmohan Singh of Nanak Nagar Jammu, from Patiala, Punjab. The absconder was involved in a case registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and was evading his arrest since 2011. Gandhi Nagar police also recovered a kidnapped girl hailing from Nanak Nagar from Patiala. The girl was handed over to family members after completion of legal formalities. Police party led by PSI Javed Choudhary made the arrest and recovery under the supervision of SHO Rajinder Sharma and SSP Jammu Atul Goel.
