DODA, Mar 28: An absconder was nabbed today by Doda Police.
The absconder was identified as Lekh Raj son of Madhu Ram, resident of Rehnote Malwana tehsil Gunduna (Doda), who was wanted in a case FIR Number 157/2020 under Sections 447/427/379/504/506/201 IPC of Police Station Doda. Chief Judicial Magistrate Doda had issued warrant against the accused but he was evading his arrest for last three years.
Moreover, non-bailable arrest warrant in a case FIR Number 204/2014 under Sections 447/336-A/201 RPC and in a case FIR Number 279/2016 under Sections 435/447/504/506 RPC was also issued against him from the Additional Session Court Doda/Chief judicial Magistrate Doda, respectively.
The absconder was arrested by a police team of Doda Police Station team headed by SI Ram Rattan along with HC Mohd Amin and Seniro Grade Constable Bhupinder Singh, following which he was produced before the court of CJM Doda, who sent him for judicial lockup in District Jail Bhaderwah till 27-05-2022.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Doda Arun Sharma/Deputy SP Headquarters Doda Jaswant Singh and overall supervision of SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom.
