Absconder wanted in triple murder case held: Police

JAMMU, Aug 8: Police in Jammu’s Arnia area have arrested an absconder who was wanted in a triple murder case of 2021.
Bhupinder Singh of Chak Mohammad Yar, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu, was facing trial before the court of Ist Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, for his involvement in a triple-murder case and NDPS case registered in the year 2021, said a police official.
According to him, the accused had allegedly murdered three young persons in broad day light in Arnia in the year 2021.Subsequently, his involvement also surfaced in an NDPS case, he said.
“Challan in both the cases was presented before the competent court. But the accused was granted bail during the trial by the court of Ist Additional Sessions Judge Jammu on the ground of illness of his wife,” said the police official.
He added that after the accused jumped his bail, a non-bailable warrant was issued against him by the court.
Complying with the directions of the court, he said, a police team of Arnia Police Station today arrested the accused.
