Absconding accused in swiping machine fraud arrested

JAMMU, Sept 8: Crime Branch Jammu has arrested the absconding accused, who was involved in frauds and cheating through swiping machines by misusing counterfeit, cloned and illegally acquired credit cards at (EDC) Electronic Data Capture terminals.
The arrested accused, identified as Haritesh Sethi son of Gurbaksh Singh Sethi, resident of 119 Rajinder Nagar, Canal Road Jammu, at present 258/H Durga Nagar, Tallab Tillo, Jammu, was involved in case FIR number 07/2009, under section 420, 406/RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu. He was evading his arrest since the Court had issued warrant U/S 512/CrPC on 21-01-2019.
Under the orders of the court, a vigilant team of Crime Branch Jammu with effective team work and coordination traced the accused and arrested him yesterday from Jammu City.
The investigation of the case was closed as proved by Crime Branch Jammu and the charge-sheet was produced against the accused in the Court of Law on 02-06-2010. However, during the trial of the case, the accused did not turn up before the court and under the due process of law, the court of JMIC Sub Judge Jammu had issued an arrest warrant against the accused U/S 512/CrPC on 21-01-2019.
