DODA, Mar 21: Bhalla police arrested an absconding murder accused, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bhalla police post conducted raid in an area in Jammu and arrested an absconder, who was at large since April 2016.
The accused has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Faquir Chand of Bhatoli tehsil Bhalla district Doda.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 12/16 under Section 458, 307, 302 and 34 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act with Police Station Bhaderwah. Special Mobile Magistrate Bhaderwah had also issued arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC against him.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Bhalla Police Post SI Sunil Parihar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Muneer Ahmed, SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
