REASI, Nov 27: A rape accused, who was evading his arrest for the last one year, was apprehended by Reasi Police from Nagrota area.
The accused, identified as Nitish Kumar son of Raj Kumar of Thillo, Tehsil Mahore, District Reasi, A/P Gadhal Reasi, was hiding in a house near Ballini bridge, Nagrota from where he was apprehended by a special police team.
The said accused was evading his arrest for the last one year and had been changing his locations which made it difficult for the police team to apprehend him. Police also seized a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AS- 7578 from the accused, who was involved in case FIR number 264/2017 U/S 363/376-D/343 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station Reasi.
A co-accused in the same case, namely Kuljeet Singh son of Sher Singh of Barnali, Tehsil Mahore, District Reasi, was apprehended one week earlier.
