Absconding ‘surrendered militant’ held from Punjab

DODA, May 27: Police here today arrested an absconder ‘surrendered militant’ from Punjab and he was evading his arrest for the last about 18 years.
Cops from Police Station Gandoh arrested the most wanted absconding criminal Ghulam Qadir, son of Maher Bakesh, resident of Malath, Gandoh.
He was involved in an FIR with number 57/2007 registered under Section 302, 307 RPC 7/27 A. Act and FIR number 103/2006 U/S 302, 307 RPC 7/27 A. Act registered against him at Police Station Gandoh but he was evading his arrest since the year 2006.
A team of cops from Police Station Gandoh was constituted which after hectic efforts succeeded in arresting the absconder from Punjab.
As per a handout of Police the absconder was a Surrendered Militant and was also declared as Proclaimed Offender by the Court of JMIC Gandoh in the year 2023.
He was involved in the killing of Abdul Latief, son of Mohd Ibrahim, resident of Champal, Amraie, Tehsil Chilly Pingal and Mohd Ishaq, son of Zahoor Din, resident of Malath, Tehsil Gandoh.
