JAMMU, Apr 8: Gangyal Police arrested an absconding thief, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Gangyal led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh Chib under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma conducted raid and arrested an absconding thief, who was at large since long.
The accused was identified as Ram Kumar alias Ramu, son of Gopi Chand of Kodi Kanthal Tehsil Arnas District Reasi.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 97/2020 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC with Police Station Gangyal. Arrest warrant also stands issued against him by the 1st Additional Munsiff Forest Court Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
