JAMMU, Oct 3: Vigilance Organization today arrested then Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) Rajouri and Kalakote, who was absconding for the last about one month since rejection of his anticipatory bail application following registration of a case under Prevention of Corruption Act against him.
A case FIR No.21/2018 u/s 5(1) ( c), 5(1) (d) read with section 5(2) PC Act Svt. 2006 was registered against Pranav Gandotra, then TSO Rajouri and Kalakote presently posted as Inspector TSO K Oil with additional charge of TSO Circle-II (West) Jammu (now suspended) at P/S VOJ on 18.07.2018. After registration of instant case, searches were conducted at the residential premises/office of the accused wherein details of huge properties (movable /immovable)/ incriminating documents were recovered and seized by the teams of Vigilance Organization.
The accused filed anticipatory bail application before the High Court at Srinagar which was dismissed by the court on 04.09.2018. Thereafter, the accused absconded and evaded his arrest.
Vigilance Organization after putting hard efforts today arrested the accused who is being put to sustained questioning by the sleuths of Vigilance.
