Absence of democratic Govt leads to suffering of people: Javed Rana

POONCH, Oct 7: President of Pir Panjal Zone of National Conference (NC) and a former legislator, Javed Ahmed Rana, today voiced his deep concern regarding the prevailing hardships endured by the people of the Pir Panjal region in the absence of a democratic Government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a gathering of party workers in Mendhar, Javed Ahmed Rana highlighted the critical issues and challenges facing the Pir Panjal area due to the prolonged absence of a democratic Government. He emphasized the importance of a functioning Government to address the diverse needs and aspirations of the people effectively.
Rana voiced his dismay at the apparent inaction of the authorities, describing it as a state of deep slumber amidst the growing sufferings of the people. He emphasized that the residents of J&K were enduring manifold challenges and that basic amenities were becoming increasingly scarce. He noted the widespread public dissatisfaction and the lack of attention given to the people’s grievances.
The former legislator acknowledged the historical significance of democratic governance in J&K, where the voices of the people were heard, and their issues were resolved through a participatory process. He emphasized the need for a strong and responsive administration that can provide essential services, ensure developmental initiatives and address various challenges faced by the people.
He appealed the Election Commission of India to expedite the process of restoring democratic governance in J&K, ensuring that the people of Pir Panjal and the entire region have the opportunity to participate in shaping their future through the democratic process.
