BILLAWAR, Sept 25: Highlighting grievances and demands of the students, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) took out a massive rally in the Billawar town, here today.
Nearly 1000 students from eight campuses of Billawar town assembled at GDC Billawar and marched towards the ADC Office Billawar where they held a strong demonstration amidst raising of slogans in support of their demands.
They were demanding adequate hostel facility and teaching faculty at Billawar Degree College.
The rally was led by ABVP State joint secretary Rajeshwar Singh, Mayank Bhagotra SFD Incharge Jammu Kashmir and Sunit Thakur, State Executive Member ABVP.
The rally was addressed by Sunit Thakur, Nitish, Taran, Gudia Khajuria, Sanjeev Jamwal, Mayank Bhagotra and others, who highlighted the demands and lashed out at the administration for its insensitive attitude towards the grievances of students.
The ADC Billawar, Rajeshwar Singh personally met the ABVP activists and assured that required teachers and basic infrastructure facilities would be provided by the administration.
