JAMMU, June 2: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad Jammu University Unit organised Mission Sahasi Program for four days in which self defence training was provided to the girl students of Jammu University.
On concluding day of Mission Sahasi Program, mega demonstration event was held in which the participants displayed their experiences which they learnt in three days .
On the occasion, Prof Neelu Rohmetra was the chief guest and J&K ABVP Mantri Akshi Billowria was the guest of honour. The program began with Parishad Geet sung by Vidushi.
President of Jammu University ABVP Unit welcomed all the guests and participants of this event. Sanjoyak of Mission Sahasi Program, Ananya Rathore gave brief about activities done under Mission Sahasi Program.
Prof Neelu Rohmetra said it is need of the hour to make girls self-protector, self-confident, empowered and fearless. “If one female becomes bold and valour, many girls follow her to become like her and in society their respect and position become important,” she said and congratulated all Karyakartas of JU ABVP unit, specially girl Karyakartas to make the Mission Sahasi Program outstanding successful.
J&K ABVP state secretary, Akshi Billowria gave speech on Mission Sahasi Program. She said Mission Sahasi is going on all over India. In many schools across J&K, Mission Sahasi Programs are going on to make girls self-protector, fearless so that they can face any situation without fear, she added.
Vote of thanks was given by Secretary of JUABVP unit, Manisha Rajput.
On the conclusion of Mission Sahasi Program, coaches who provided training, were awarded by presenting Photos of Maa Bharati.
