JAMMU, Apr 29: Continuing their strike, a number of Jammu University students boycotted their classes and held a demonstration against purported hostel fee hike.
Led by ABVP, the protesting students raised slogans against the JU administration and Vice-Chancellor. They also took out a rally from the JU campus to Bikram Chowk demanding roll back in fee hike.
Addressing the agitating students, ABVP president of JU unit, Ashwani Sharma accused the JU administration of trying to mislead over the fee hike.
He alleged that there was steep hike in hostel fee by 85 percent , electricity charges by 200 percent and room rent by 100 percent.
