ABVP delegation meets VC, submits memo of demands

JAMMU, Aug 9: A delegation of ABVP Agriculture University Jammu unit today met VC, Prof. J.P Sharma and submitted him a memorandum of demands.
The delegation was led by National Executive Committee Member Agrivision and SFD J&K Convener, Radheshyam Kumawat who demanded that scholarship should be provided to every registered post-graduation students of the Agriculture University and end-term examination of all UG/PG and Ph.D students should be held online.
Other demands were that library facility should be provided 24×7 basis, extension of date for submission of thesis must be extended up to September 31, 2021 and free wi-fi facilities should be provided at hostels of the varsity.
More demands included 24×7 electricity facility in all hostels especially in summers, Ph.D programme can be completed at inter university level with the collaboration of PAU, HAU etc and NCC unit must be establish in the campus for all registered UG students.
Still more demands included digitalization of registration, fee payment and all other student facilities on urgent basis.
After listening to the delegation, the VC instructed the concerned authorities about the demands and assured the delegation for resolving all student welfare related issues with immediate action.

Research Scholars; Prabhdeep Singh and Sourav Manhas.
