ABVP launches membership drive in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, June 30: Student organisation Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) here today started its membership campaign for Kashmir division. The programme was graced by special invitee in NEC, Prof. Permendr Singh; ABVP state organising secretary, Tilak Thakur and state joint secretary, Akeel Ahmad Tantray.
Speaking on the occasion ABVP members and officials vowed to complete the target of enrolling 10,000 new members from Kashmir division this year by reaching out to maximum students from various educational institutions of the valley to empower them to advocate for their rights and interests.
Akeel Ahmad Tantray in his remarks said that ABVP is committed to work for the welfare of students.
In a handout ABVP stated that through this membership drive the organisation aims to provide a platform to the students to voice their concerns, participate in discussions on educational reforms and to contribute for the development of a vibrant academic environment in Kashmir.
