ABVP organizes seminar on ‘Dhyeya Path Par Agrasar’

JAMMU, Aug 29: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Mahanagar organized a seminar on “Dhyeya Path Par Agrasar – ABVP at 75” as part of book launching event of “Dhyeya Yatra” where Praful Akant (national joint organising secretary ABVP) was the chief guest.
Dr. Narender Singh, former national vice president, ABVP and Arun Gupta president, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu were the distinguished guests of the event. The event was also presided by Prof. Bechan Lal. Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Jammu.
ABVP Jammu Kashmir State president, Dr. AP Singh and State secretary, Mukesh Manhas were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Prafull Akant national joint organising secretary of ABVP said about the struggle story of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and complimented all new and old Karyakartas. He said that ABVP is an organization with floating population and not controlled by any political party. He said about the gender and social equality and also praised Baba Saheb BR Ambedkar for his contribution towards the society.
He said ABVP is a leading student organization working in the social and education sector. In order to realize the resolve of building a society through individual building, ABVP has established projects like Student’s Experience in Inter State Living (SEIL), Student For Seva (SFS), Student for Development (SFD), Agrivision, Medivision, Rashtriya Kala Manch,Think India, SHoDH etc. in which the student can become a participant in the process of national development along with his/her own development by working according to his/her interest.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Narender Singh former national vice president, ABVP reminded the old days of ABVP’s Karyakarta. He discussed one protest done by the organization during the State Flag held by Sheikh Abdullah in his time. He said that ABVP is national power and credit goes to our disciplined organization. He further said ABVP believes that a student is not a citizen of yesterday but a citizen of today.
Prof. Bechan Lal Singh, VC discussed the various activities of the organization. He also praised the contribution of the ABVP during the emergency.
Arun Gupta said that ABVP always contributed to society without any influence from the political parties. “Our Karyakarta work for the nation only”.
ABVP Jammu Mahanagar president, Dr. Lokinder Singh gave the welcome address whereas Jammu Mahanagar secretary, Hariom Sharma gave vote of thanks.
