JAMMU, Feb 7: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Kashmir organized a Shobha Yatra under the ongoing programme of 55th State conference in Jammu.
The shoba yatra started from Teacher’s Bhawan Gandhi Nagar and culminated outside Swarn Theatre. In the way, various groups of the civil society welcomed the Shobha Yatra.
An open conference was held after the Shobha Yatra in which students leaders along with national general secretary of ABVP Nidhi Tripathi addressed the civil society as well as the workers of ABVP from across J&K. In her address, Tripathi touched issues ranging from environment to education.
Student leader from Madrassa namely Mohd Hussain and from Ladakh Tanzin Saduppu highlighted the thought of Prophet Mohd and Sufism. He said the love for humanity and nationalism is in the blood of the students from Madrassas whereas Tanzin said that far flung areas needs the attention of the Government and education must be taken to the grass root level to strengthen the youth of J&K.
Other student leader namely Mayank Bhagotra, Ravail Parihar, Akriti, Nandita, Ajay and Suneet Thakur touched the issues pertaining to the youth of J&K and highlighted the key points in environment to education and infrastructure in educational institutes.
While addressing the students, Mukesh Manhas (secretary, ABVP J&K) said that no firm educational policy has been formulated by the Government and the semester system which has completely failed in other hilly states have been imposed in the UT of J&K keeping aside the basic barriers.
