ABVP protests for posts of Dogri at higher secondary level

JAMMU, June 28: The Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised a protest at Jammu University Campus, highlighting the concern among students and researchers of Dogri language.
The protest was against the insufficient number of posts of Dogri language available at the higher secondary level.
The protesting students urged the Director of School Education Jammu Division and the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to consider this matter on priority basis.
Akshi Billowria, ABVP Secretary J&K, while addressing the gathering, said that Dogri subject should be introduced in all the higher secondary schools and the number of posts for the subject should be increased accordingly.
ABVP President Jammu University Sahil Choudhary, stressed upon the importance of enhancing the number of posts and filling up of the vacant posts on priority basis.
Sudarshan Dogra, a student from the Dogri Department of JU, also spoke on the occasion.
