JAMMU, Nov 11: The three-day 58th State Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Kashmir began today with inauguration of an exhibition on yearly activities of ABVP.
The inauguration took place at Kangra Fort and Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu Prof Sanjeev Jain was chief guest of the event. He emphasized the importance of the New Education Policy citing the fact that it is a Bharat Centric education policy.
Guest of honour was Jammu Mayor Rajendra Sharma, who lauded the efficient working of Vidyarthi Parishad and encouraged the students to lead the country towards success and progress.
Anand Srivastav, North Zone Joint Organisational Secretary spoke on the contribution of ABVP to society.
Over 700 student Karyakartas from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh were present on the occasion.
