SAMBA, Jan 1: The 60th State Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) concluded at Mahaveer International School with passing of resolutions on improving the current education scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.
Around 575 students and 25 teachers participated in the conference. Not only the youth from Jammu but also from Kashmir and Ladakh participated in the 60th provincial convention of ABVP.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by Chairman CEVA Educational Trust Anil Upadhyay and Director Mahaveer International School Gaurav Abrol. The exhibition showcased the work done by ABVP in the past.
During the convention, the newly elected State president Dr Ajay Sharma and State secretay Sannak Shrivats were given the charge by the election officer Dr Rakesh.
The inaugural session was held in the presence of chief guest Romalo Ram and special guests Devyani Singh and Aditya Tikyar (National secretary).
The convention saw speech of student leaders who highlighted how India could be developed before the completion of 100 years of independence and what the contribution of the youth would be in this. There was also an extensive discussion on the current educational scenario of J&K, Viksit J&K and Viksit India.
While discussing the Pancha Parivartan, the youth were motivated to adopt them and to promote the Pancha Parivartan. On the last day of the conference, the new executives of the ABVP Jammu Kashmir for 2024-2025 were announced. The posters of SERU and Nagar Khel Kumbh were also launched.
The outline of the upcoming programs and movements was prepared. It was decided that Youth Pakhwada will be celebrated from 12th January to 23rd January, Tiranga Yatra will be taken out on 26th January, and widespread movements will be carried out on education, social and other issues.
Akshi Billowria (CWC member), Sourav Manhas (State joint secretary), Vikrant Singh (Vibhag convenor) and Harish Sharma (Jammu Mahangar secretary) were also present.
