Academy announces Annual Drama Festival results

JAMMU, Apr 27: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages announced the results of Annual Drama Festival held recently at Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar, wherein 9 plays in different languages were staged.
The play ‘Government Inspector’ by Natraj Natya Kunj and ‘Do Kohri Ka Khel’ by Amateur Theatre Group were adjudged as 2nd best production respectively, while Abhishek Bharti and Ifra Mushtaq Kak were awarded as 2nd best Directors respectively for the play Government Inspector and Do Kohri Ka Khel.
Sourav Verma as Narhari for the play Do Kohri Ka Khel was awarded as best Actor, while Delight William awarded as best actress for her role as Man Mohini in Do Kohri Ka Khel and Rajni Bharti awarded as 2nd Best actress for her role as Guddi in Solution X and Dilshad Shazi as 2nd best actor in male category for the play Raj Darshan by Nav Durga Kala Manch.
The best music award was present to Government Inspector, while Abhigyan Shankuntlam awarded as 2nd best. The best costume was awarded to the play Raj Darshan by Nav Durga Kala Manch, while Abhigyan Shankuntlam was awarded as 2nd best costumes by Samooh Theatre.
Best make-up was awarded to Do Kohri Ka Khel by Amataure Theatre Group, while 2nd best to The Government Inspector by Natraj Natya Kunj.
Best Set and lights was awarded to the play Padav by Shivani Cultural Society. Best Child award was bagged by Sugndhi Manhas and Mukul Bains respectively for the play Solution X and Abhigyan Shankutalam.
Besides, certificate of merit in acting were awarded to Rohit Verma as Dalal, Bimla Naqaib as Rath Mean Kanger, Aaditya Bharti as Mayor, Rishi Kumar as Sharkuh, TS Premi as Chokidar, Ritu Manhas as Kubja, Deepak Singh Jamwal as Raja, Vijay Goswami as Chuni Lal Mahajan, Rohni Jamwal as Sugandhi and Neha Bhogal as Shankutalam.
