JAMMU, Dec 29: In connection with Dogri Manta Divas, J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages Jammu organized a Dogri Kahani Ghosthi at K L Saigal Hall, here today.
Prominent short story writers, including Dr Om Goswami and Chattar Pual read out their latest `Kahanies’ on the occasion. The short story of Dr Lalit Magotra was read out by Dr Rattan Lal Basotra, Assistant Editor of the Academy as the former had to go out of station owing to some personal reasons.
Earlier, welcoming the gathering, Additional Secretary of the Academy, Savita Bakshi threw light on the struggle of different NGOs and Dogra writers in getting the Dogri language included in 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution.
Proceedings of the function were conducted by Yash Pal Nirmal while Ashok Gupta was the incharge of the programme.
