JAMMU, Dec 4: Indian Academy of Pediatrics, City Branch Jammu with the support of Indian Journal of Pediatrics, organized a CME on Pediatrics Update , here at Jammu.
Guest faculty Dr V P Choudhary (Ex HOD Hematology) and Dr K R Jat (Associate Professor Pediatrics from AIIMS New Delhi), Dr B R Thapa (Ex HOD Pediatric Gastroenterology), Dr Deepak Bansal ( Professor Pediatric Hematology-Oncology), Dr Renu Suthar (Associate Professor Pediatric Neurology) and Dr Suresh Kumar (Assistant Professor Pediatric Intensive Care from PGIMER Chandigarh) and Dr J S Arora (Thalassemialogist and General Secretary National Thalassemia Welfare Society) deliberated on various topics like understanding CBC, Asthma, chronic diarrhea, Anemia, Septicemic shock and headache in children, respectively.
Dr G S Saini, HOD Pediatrics, SMGS Hospital, GMC Jammu and Organizing Chairperson of the CME , presented the welcome address and threw light on objective of the CME.
Chief guest Prof D B Sharma, Ex HOD Pediatrics, SMGS Hospital, GMC Jammu and ASCOMS Jammu , appreciated the organizers for organizing this CME and selection of topics. Dr Suraj Gupta and Dr Ashok Gupta (Ex HOD Pediatrics) and Dr N C Digra (HOD Surgery GMC Jammu) were the guests of honor.
Prof Dr Sanjeev K Digra, Organizing Secretary of the CME, presented vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to Dr S K Kabra for reposing trust and giving this opportunity to organize this CME. Dr Pallavi, Dr Ashna and Dr Chandani conducted the proceedings.
CME was attended by more than 70 Pediatricians from Jammu, Doda, Rajouri, Udhampur and Kathua.
