RAMBAN, May 27: A Clerk (Junior Assistant) working at Tehsil Office Banihal here today was arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe.
Sources said that a special team of ACB Jammu raided Tehsil office Banihal and arrested the Clerk Mohammad Ishaq Bhat, 48, son of Abdul Razik Bhat, resident of Chareel, Banihal red-handed while receiving the graft money.
They said that the clerk had demanded bribe from the complainant who approached ACB Jammu which laid a trap.
Officials said that residential house of the Clerk in Banihal was also raided and after several hours of questioning the erring Clerk was taken to Jammu by ACB team.
