SRINAGAR, Nov 14 : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested Drug Control Officer Handwara over bribery allegations.
An official said that one Ishtiyaq Ahmad Baba was trapped by an ACB team after the Bureau received a complaint, through its helpline number, against the officer for demanding bribe.

The official said that the accused had been demanding an amount of Rs 10,000 from the complainant.
He said that Baba had lifted some medicines from a medical shop and instead of seizing them he had kept them in another medical shop at Handwara. “Baba was demanding bribe from the Chemist for releasing the medicine. He was caught red handed while accepting the bribe,” he said.
