JAMMU, Aug 27: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jammu has registered a case against Kuldeep Kumar Kaith (AEE), Shabir Ahmed Malik and Vinod Kumar Abrol (AEs), Rahul Gandotra and Sahil Gandotra TAs (Contractual) in RDD Block Chassana for misappropriation of funds.
A verification was initiated against officers/ officials of Rural Development Department of Block Chassana Reasi for committing fraud and minting money by misusing the funds meant for the development of Panchyats of Block Chassana and not executing the works on grounds for the year 2017-18.
During verification it came to the fore that loss to the Government exchequer amounting to Rs 1365425 was caused by the officers/ officials of RDD/ REW Departments of Block Chassana Reasi while executing the works under MGNREGA during the year 2017-18.
It has also been found that these officers/officials by abusing their official positions and in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy entered inflated quantities of works in the Measurement Book whereas on spot lesser quantities of works have been executed resulting into huge loss to the Government exchequer with corresponding wrongful gains to themselves.
