JAMMU, Apr 1: Anti-Corruption Bureau today booked Revenue officials of tehsil Qila Darhal, Rajouri on corruption charges.
A case FIR number 09/2019 U/S 5(1) (d) r/w 5 (2) of J&K PC Act Samvat 2006 & 120-B RPC, was today registered against Ghulam Hussain, then I/c Tehsildar, Qila Darhal and Mohd Farooq, then Patwari Halqa Rajpur Kamila, in pursuance of an enquiry conducted by the Departmental Vigilance Officer into a complaint lodged against encroachment of Forest/State land situated at village Rajpur Kamila by encroachers in connivance with accused officials of the Revenue Department.
During the enquiry, it was found that these Revenue officials, in league with private beneficiaries and others, illegally attested mutation No. 14 under LB-6/C dated 10/06/2016 and mutation No. 15 under S-432 dated 05/07/2016 and transferred the ownership rights for land falling under Khasra No. 366 (old) situated at Rajpur Kamila measuring 20 Kanal 03 Marlas in favour of Sakhi Mohd son of Fateh Mohd and Mushtaq Hussain son of Sakhi Mohd; also for land measuring 17 Kanal five Marlas in favour of Sakhi Mohd and mutation No. 32 under LB-6/C dated 10/09/2016 and mutation No. 33 under S-432 dated 10/09/2016 for land falling under Khasra No. 365 (old) situated at Rajpur Kamila, measuring 21 Kanal five Marlas in favour of Dalip Singh son of Sansar Singh; for land measuring 09 Kanal 07 Marlas in favour of Dalip Singh, Baldev Singh, Chatter Singh, Harbans Singh sons of Sansar Singh and for land measuring 11 Kanal 02 Marlas in favour of Chatter Singh son of Sansar Singh.
With the registration of FIR, formal investigations has been set into motion.
