JAMMU, Oct 22: Accession Day of J&K will be celebrated in a grand way on October 26 at Maharaja Hari Singh Park near Tawi Bridge, said Th. Narayan Singh.
J&K BJP in charge Social & Religious Organizations Th. Narayan Singh accompanied by former Mayor, JMC Chander Mohan Gupta and BJP media secretary, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra was addressing a press conference at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Narayan Singh, said that the party will celebrate the ‘Accession Day’ of Jammu & Kashmir in a grand way with the participation of people from all walks of life.
He said that Maharaja Hari Singh Ji signed the “Instrument of Accession” on October 26 in 1947 and it was accepted on the 27th of October due to which Jammu & Kashmir became an inseparable part of the Union of India.
He said that whole of J&K will celebrate the occasion on 26th October and the programme will witness distinguished speakers narrating the untold history which was hidden and skewed by the nefarious elements in the State as well as at the Centre.
“Pt. Nehru with his revengeful attitude took the matter of accession of J&K into his hands and the region of Jammu & Kashmir had to suffer for decades together,” he said.
He said that under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the LG announced the holiday on the day of Vilay Diwas which was a great victory for all the nationalist forces.
He said that the entire Jammu and Kashmir is set to celebrate the occasion like 15th August and every BJP leader and activist will make their maximum efforts for the same.
Narayan Singh further added that Sheikh Abdullah in connivance with then PM Pandit Nehru and Lord Mountbatten did not want to unite J&K with India and their activities led to the attack of Pakistan Army under the disguise of Kabailis. Because of all these events and then the unrequired ‘ceasefire’, a big portion of J&K is still under illegal occupation by foreign forces.
BJP leaders appealed to the people of Jammu & Kashmir to participate in the celebration of ‘Vilay Diwas” in massive numbers and to remember all those who sacrificed their lives for saving Jammu & Kashmir from all odds.
