JAMMU, Oct 10: Special Secretary at Summer Secretariat, Amit Sharma today held a review meeting with Accounts Officers of various Deputy Commissioner Offices of Jammu division and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) regarding submission of long pending Utilisation Certificates (UCs) related to NPR Census conducted in 2019.
Sharma asked all the Accounts Officers to ensure immediate submission of UCs as Union Ministry of Home Affairs is very particular about their submission so that next funding for 2020-21 NPR and Census can be released and process can be set into motion.
He further asked the Account Officers of all DC offices and JMC to be very particular in future regarding timely submission of UCs as in the new dispensation in Union Territory everything shall be keenly watched and monitored directly by the Government of India wherein total professionalism is expected from officers and officials.
The Secretary asked these officers to submit UCs and latest data on unspent funds within ten days.
It was also directed to Accounts Officer of DC Jammu to submit all pending data within next five days.
Accounts Officers of DC Samba, Kathua, Poonch and Rajouri were directed to clear old liabilities and submit final UCs before Darbar Move.
Similarly, JMC was also advised to submit final data at the earliest.
All officers assured to timely submit the requisite data and UCs.
